Timeless A-shape

Born in the 60s, it has never been out of fashion, and this year it’s more present than ever on the Bridal and evening wear Fashion Shows. We are talking about the A-line dress

Adjusted on the chest, it tightens on the waist, and then it widens in a triangular form, indeed creating the shape of an ‘A’. It produces a sharp and defined silhouette that hides imperfections and highlights the décolleté and the well-shaped waist. This allows the dress to adapt to every physical build (except those not having an outlined waistline), confirming the success of the shape.

The bodice can be bustier, American-style, with long sleeves, with shawl collar or a more plunging neckline, but the skirt is strictly flared; this makes the figure slender and it also hides possible imperfections.

Almost every designer has displayed it on the parades of the VBBFW 2019, whether in white or in stronger colours for an original bride, for the bridesmaids, or as ceremony dress for the party.
